But couldn't hold myself back after seeing the amount of designs NOT put up on the blog =P

Dance the night away..

I don't know WHY THE HELL the title is from a J-Lo song.
A very bad song.
The TUNE ISN'T EVEN ORIGINAL! :O
Whatsoever,
Getting to my design.
So yesterday , one of my old friends asked me to design a prom dress for her.
Her specifications : It had to be B&W , and above the knee.
Me being the over-enthusiastic person I am, decided to do a lil' research on  cuts which make short people look taller, because she's of a petite build.
And I whipped up this master piece :D
With a fitted bust (with a black floral pattern on white) and sweetheart neck.. it ALSO is one shouldered with a very translucent black fabric serving the purpose.
Vertical Stripes.
Oh YES.
Ok.
Not STRIPES, exactly,
But the bottom part has white and black strips of a semi- transparent fabric, alternating, to form this very flowy effect.
And thus, the Prom-my feeling is created :D
OOOH. And not to forget, the corsage, the red barrete

AAAAAAND, the cherry red pumps :D

2011 - The year of Nude tones.

Hola!
In one of my previous posts, I mentioned Nude heels,
And now, its time for nude ruffle tops.
BARE MIDRIFF :D
They go with almost everything and are a wardrobe must-have!
And then, the floral pencil skirt.
Typically 90's romantic ey?
Somehow it reminds me of a very Boho-ish style.
Oh well.
:D

Picture Perfect - Purple.

Purple is THE color.
Its RICH.
Its eye-catching.
It works on almost anything.
I love purple :)
Well, another one of my "I draw when I'm bored" designs.
:D
This purple draped dress, says it all :D

Cherries make me smile.

I don't know why, but at school ( which was absolutely boring, fine, thank you) I was ABSOLUTELY bored.
So I reached into my bag, for my back-up :D
A bunch of water color pencils, my writing pad, stacked with a bunch of A4's and the rest of my stationary (begged, borrowed and stolen :D).
The FIRST thing which comes to my mind.
CHERRIES.
Red, shiny, juicy cherries.
On a white mini dress with a sweetheart neck.
And why of course,
I like to brag about my fashion-magazine reading habit.
Hence, the NUDE PUMPS :D
And its glad to know that Anna Sui thinks like me too. :P

I'll bragalot in a while. Byeeee!

Corset and Drapes, all in one.

I woke up this morning, feeling no such interest to study, so I lazily plopped myself on the bed, and pulled out one of the Vogues (December 2010 issue) from the huge pile sitting on the bedside table and begin to scan through the pages. On on page, was various styles right from the 50's to the 80's. In the 50's style, was a picture of Louis Vuitton creations, full skirts, corseted bodice and midis. Hence, the corset top :D Then, I thought I'd add a little punch to it, and give it some really delicate drapes on the skirt with an aqua marine satin fabric.
What makes this different from the rest is that, I spent more time on the detailing with pencils, rather than spoiling it with microtips. ALSO, I drew a FACE on this one :) Not THAT bad, is it? ;)

The Saree - A symbol of Feminism and Flamboyance

The Saree, for those who don't know what it is, originates from India. It is a long piece of fabric filled with intricate designs and workmanship draped in the most elegant way possible. My first Saree, and the first time I've had enough patience to sit and design the WHOLE thing.

Mr. and Ms. Prim & Proper

Vacationing in the country house at the Hamptons, are we?
Presenting the first "couple sketch".Inspired by Gossip Girl, the girl represents none other than the Queen B herself, Blair Waldorf, playing it safe, in a box-pleated skirt, a white blouse and a Cashmere sweater vest with pearl accessories and ballet flats. The guy,is my representation of one like Nate Archibald. Metrosexual, classy and the perfect gentleman, in beige pants- perfectly creased, well-polished Italian leather shoes, a crisp white shirt, teamed with a blue sweater vest and an expensive watch.
Oooh. and I LOVE these two :')
They were my inspiration

Lets get Edgy!

Edgy is in!
From ripped denims, to metal accessories and the geometric cuts.
The first dress features a "futuristic" edgy-ness complete with a geometrically cut headband and cut-outs in the dress.
Get the look : Whitney Port sports an edgy black tutu for the premiere of Sex and the City 2.
The second outfit (model sitting on the floor) , screams edgy, with the white tank top, long chains, the deep purple shorts and the fishnet stockings.
